An accomplished real estate professional, Wendy Arriz has been ranked a Top Ten Warburg Producer four years in a row in 2019, 2018, 2017 and 2016. She was also named one of America’s Top Real Estate Agents by Sales Volume in REAL Trends ranking in 2018 and 2019, and is a monthly online real estate contributor for US News & World Report ( https://www.usnews.com/topics/author/wendy-arriz).

Known for her sophisticated eye, discretion and sharp attention to detail, Wendy has brokered transactions and represented clients across Manhattan's luxury coop, condo and townhouse marketplaces. Infinitely focused on the execution of the entire process of purchasing or selling from the first meeting to the closing, Wendy carefully listens to her customers in order to understand their needs and meet their goals. She has won many loyal clients along the way, who appreciate her insight, tenacity and shrewd negotiating skills. Wendy is adept at marketing properties. She is particularly skilled at staging, a true asset in this competitive environment, and another example of the many ways in which Wendy always ensures her clients the highest quality, comprehensive service from an accomplished professional.

After earning a degree in Economics from The University of Pennsylvania, Wendy worked in wholesale sales for several top fashion designers in New York City. She credits her keen eye and sharp aesthetic to her many years at Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren where no detail was too small or insignificant. Raised by a commercial broker and a real estate developer, it is no wonder that Wendy inherited a lifelong love of real estate. While her business sense, tireless work ethic and integrity fuel her success, most importantly, she believes whole heartedly that one’s living space should be not only an investment but also a home and sanctuary.

Wendy has resided on the Upper East Side for over 30 years and currently lives in Carnegie Hill with her husband, three children, and her miniature schnauzer, Lucy.

Testimonials

Testimonial from Christopher Power and Laura Saunders

Wendy’s work for us was beyond praise. As first-time buyers but long-term residents of Manhattan, we knew some things well (neighborhoods) but not others (co-op pricing and board applications). Wendy was both whip-smart on our behalf and patient as we explored the market for about a year and considered what made sense for us.

In the end, Wendy’s expertise enabled us to buy the best possible apartment for our needs and budget—a two-bedroom co-op in a full-service building (with amenities) for less than $1 million on the Upper West Side. This is a hotly-contested segment of the market, and we were thrilled when Wendy’s shrewd strategies prevailed.

Throughout our long process, Wendy was a true pleasure to work with—fun, funny, and full of useful knowledge and contacts.  We recommend her without reservation.

Testimonial from Elyse and Michael O’Sullivan

We could not recommend Wendy more highly.  When we began looking for an apartment, we were new to the New York market.  Wendy quickly brought us up to speed on the dynamics of the Manhattan co-op landscape and helped us to clearly define the parameters of our search.  She understood exactly what we were looking for and didn’t waste our time on anything that didn’t meet our criteria.  Wendy’s knowledge is vast and her instincts are impeccable; we learned to trust her advice implicitly.  She is patient, too. Wendy never pressured us into making a move before we felt ready.  As we moved into the contract phase, Wendy proved herself to be a skilled and agile negotiator.  She also guided us through the board approval process with expertise, finesse and tact. Overall, Wendy is an absolute pleasure to work with–she’s smart, perceptive, delightful and fun.  We could not have found our beautiful New York home without her!

Testimonial from Leslie Protomastro

We are so pleased to have worked with Wendy on our recent apartment purchase. Simply stated, she’s a great broker.

Wendy quickly narrowed in in our preferences, spent a lot of time finding something that would fit for us, and was really creative in some of the solutions she came up with in a very tight market. Best of all, she did not waste our time and was very respectful of our budget.

She was also a cool and level headed negotiator, and wound up winning some points for us that I did not expect to come through.  And after our offer was accepted, Wendy made sure all deadlines were met, and that our submission package was in tip top shape.

My husband and I would recommend Wendy’s services without reservation. She made a stressful process very easy for us.

Testimonial from Valerie Feigen

Trusting your broker is necessary, liking your broker is a bonus.  Wendy is trustworthy, smart, resourceful, clever, dedicated, hard-working and most importantly, she knows how to get the deal done.  I recommend her whole heartedly.

10.8.14
Testimonial from Lindsey and Dan Officer

Any New Yorker would be lucky to land Wendy as their broker! On the pulse, patient, and extremely resourceful, she’s a fierce negotiator and an absolute joy to work with. We are beyond thrilled with our new home!

9.14.14
Testimonial from Oscar and Cinthia Gil

In 2014, Wendy helped us find and buy our family’s apartment.  We got a head start and saw it before it was listed on websites. She helped us present an attractive offer, within our budget. Throughout the negotiation and board approval process she was professional in her dealings with all counterparties, listened closely to our needs and expectations, and deliberate in preparing and presenting our board package.  She got us in early and well prepared into the right apartment and was sensitive to the building and seller’s needs.

Many people say real estate brokerage is commoditized business and to an extent, it is. Any broker can show just about any property.  Internet-based services open doors for the online hunter. However, buying the right property in the treacherous NYC market requires highly customized, professional advised – it’s an insider’s game; the opposite of a commoditized service.  In order to identify the right property, visit early, work offer terms with the selling broker and prepare and present materials suitable to the board requires dedicated professional advice.  As is often the case in many transactions, it is often understanding and playing on non-financial terms that get the deal closed. Wendy proved herself the consummate professional. We are most thankful and recommend enthusiastically.

8.23.14
Testimonial from Brendan and Maite MacDonald

Wendy applied her mind, energy, and heart as if our purchase were her own. With Wendy, we understood the market, distilled our wants and needs, and successfully bought the home we thought we‰Ûªd never find. We did not settle. You need Wendy on your side!

8.2.14
Testimonial from Richard and Dawn Truesdell

Wendy Arriz possesses the rare combination of traits found only in the most successful of experienced real estate advisors: critical insight and knowledge of the market, a tremendous ability to size up her customer’s needs, determination, expert negotiation skills, resourcefulness and patience.  We hired Wendy and proceeded to actively search to buy a family apartment for during a period when market inventory was low.  Twice we found apartments we would consider owning before we ultimately found our perfect apartment.  Each of our three real estate considerations required informed and quick decisions and some resourcefulness. In the end, we found our perfect penthouse apartment that included light, space, amazing views and outdoor space, all at a fair price.  In each of our situations, Wendy responded with utmost professionalism, helping us to resolve each of our questions and with patience when we chose not to pursue a particular property.   We can’t thank Wendy enough for helping us to find the perfect family home!
