With a passion for the real estate, an enviable skill set and a deep devotion to delivering elite client service, Johnathan Agrelius is utterly focused on making New York home for his large, loyal clientele. Johnathan's love for real estate was born out of his experiences in historic Augusta, Georgia. There, he launched a development company to transform a vacant 1860s warehouse into a new mixed-use building and defined his future career path from that moment on.
Today, Johnathan is a Manhattan real estate veteran and a Certified Negotiation Expert who has earned admirable success and accolades along the way, including record-setting price-per-square-foot condo sales, negotiating a co-op purchase within a weekend to accommodate visiting buyers, consistently capturing stellar return on investment and delivering multiple offers over listing price. It's no surprise that Johnathan's clients return to him again and again for their ongoing real estate needs. As one satisfied client put it, "Behind that bow-tie and calm demeanor, Johnathan possesses a heart of justice and a righteous conviction of what his industry should look like, and that makes him a fierce advocate for his clients."
As an advisor, Johnathan listens carefully to his clients and implements a specific strategy in order to secure their goals. Whether assisting sellers, first-time homeowners or seasoned buyers looking to upsize or downsize, Johnathan has the innate ability to understand the various market dynamics and value propositions that each neighborhood offers and to educate buyers and sellers so that they are exceedingly well-informed and confident in their decisions. "I believe each and every one of my clients has a unique calling and purpose here in the city, and I facilitate their success by making New York home," he says.
Prior to real estate, Johnathan excelled in the restaurant industry, branding and expanding a major chain from coast to coast. He also spent time teaching English in China and worked with the Actors Fund Housing Development Corporation researching and reviewing potential affordable housing development opportunities for those who work in entertainment. Johnathan earned a Masters in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and is an active member of the Municipal Art Society (MAS), the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Center for Faith and Work (CFW).
