Rebecca is a native of New Orleans, who has proudly called New York home for over 16 years. She comes to Warburg from a background in the arts, and her tenacity in creative thinking is her calling card. She is a tireless advocate for her clients and sensitive to the emotional aspects of buying and selling a home. Her high degree of professionalism, work ethic, and integrity set her apart in this industry. She goes the extra mile to get every deal done. She especially enjoys working with first time buyers -- helping to navigate the process from finding financing, to negotiating price, to presenting the perfect board package, to welcoming a client home. Her skilled guidance and attention to making sure her clients understand every step of the way, makes buyers and sellers feel at ease and confident in this very competitive market.

Rebecca attributes much of her success as an agent to her husband and colleague, Shawn Fagan. Their husband-and-wife team gives their clients double the attention and support in the sales/purchase process. Current residents of Harlem, they love turning clients on to this growing neighborhood. Yet they have lived all over Manhattan, from The Financial District to Inwood and several areas of Brooklyn, so are a great resource for comparing neighborhoods. You can check out their blog for the value-saavy New Yorker at www.livable.nyc.

Rebecca has a BFA from The University of Arkansas and Masters from The Juilliard School. She has acted on and off Broadway stages. When she can get away from real estate, she manages to fit in filming a guest star TV role every so often. She can be seen on many recent TV series, including The Good Wife, Elementary, and Happyish.

Rebecca and Shawn are proud to give 1% of their annual gross commission to a wonderful organization called Project Renewal, which provides assistance in employment, health care, and housing, to the homeless community of NYC.

Rebecca was fantastic to work with, from beginning to end. Buying an apartment in New York City is always a process, but Rebecca brings together all the qualities one would want to make the process both enjoyable and efficient. She was patient and informative during our search, helping us to find appropriate properties in our search area, as well as apartments in new areas that we might not have considered at the outset. She brought a great eye for seeing the pros and cons of every property we walked into. And when we finally found what we wanted, she was meticulous and pro-active in helping us navigate the coop board approval process and everything else that goes into purchasing a home. I would recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone thinking of buying a new apartment in New York City.

Finding a coop that is a good size, has a good layout, good amenities, in a good neighborhood, at a good price is daunting. Finding one in Manhattan is Very daunting. Finding one for a 30 plus year old daughter with a totally different set of goals is Most Daunting. BUT with the team of Rebecca Brooksher and Shawn Fagan we were very happy with the result of the long search.

Rebecca and Shawn shared their real estate expertise. If Rebecca could not go to an open house with us, Shawn would join us, and vice versa. We always had support. They were patient and always very mindful of their clients’ preferences. Their knowledge and firsthand dealings with buildings and neighborhoods in Manhattan gave us a clear understanding and direction.

It was a successful search and purchase, thanks to Rebecca and Shawn.

I really benefited from working with Rebecca to purchase my first apartment.  She took the time to get to know me and my preferences, then helped me figure out what elements I really wanted in my neighborhood and apartment while staying within my budget.  I really appreciated her experience and insight during the trickier stages — making an offer and negotiating over price.  I’m so happy with the apartment I found and really appreciated having Rebecca as a partner throughout the process.

Who would expect that working with a real estate broker could turn out to be a stress-free, wonderful experience, and create a lasting friendship?!  Meeting Rebecca for the first time was like meeting an old friend – a warm personality, someone who actually listened to your desires and acted on them, as opposed to pushing what she wanted.  We ended up with an apartment we love, and a friend.  Thanks Rebecca!
