Steve Bruman believes that knowing your client is as important as knowing your product and the market you're selling. This synergistic approach to gaining knowledge and using it to your client's advantage has garnered him success both in real estate, and in the world of advertising, marketing and publishing.
For over 20 years, Steve perfected his sales and client service skills in the media/advertising industries where he accumulated an impressive portfolio of achievements for fashion, beauty and luxury brands. His award-winning career involved bringing Men's Health from a test publication to the worldwide leading men's magazine. He also worked at Wenner Media/Men's Journal and Conde Nast/Men's Vogue, another title he helped launch; plus he added the digital out-of-home ad sales category to his experience as VP Sales, Adspace Digital Mall Network.
Steve feels it's his responsibility to guide clients through a smooth, professional process of finding or selling a home. His personal interests in architecture and design, plus having owned, managed and completely renovated a floor-through townhouse in Flatiron, inspired his passion for real estate and decision to enter the field. Steve's appointment to Community Board 5 by the Manhattan Borough President's office further fuels his expertise, as "Community Boards play an important advisory role in dealing with land use and zoning matters, municipal service delivery and other issues relating to the welfare of the community.
Originally from Rochester, NY, Steve has lived in Manhattan for over 16 years. He attended Northern Michigan University and Kent State University with a full NCAA athletic/gymnastics scholarship. He holds a BA degree in Advertising/Communications. When not helping clients carve new paths, Steve is a fitness enthusiast, an avid runner and cyclist, and a big foodie who enjoys cooking at home and dining out.
