Annette DeLara recently joined Warburg Realty for the opportunity of applying her well-honed skills in urban studies, finance, real estate, and the financial markets. Previously Annette served as President of DeLara Associates, independent financial advisors to state and local governments and agencies on over $4 billion in debt instruments for the financing of infrastructure, credit products and public/private partnerships. As a financial advisor, representing the interests of the client and the successful and timely completion of a transaction was always Annette's 100% focus. Representing the interests of clients in real estate transactions requires the same skills of complete dedication, the ability to negotiate successfully, and manage details while moving the process forward and, always, maximizing results.
Annette has lived and been an active community member on Central Park West for 25 years since moving to New York City from Miami. In Miami she held several high profile positions within the public sector and was responsible for developing and implementing borrowing programs, legislation regarding school district capital financing, the development of financial management standards and oversight of the Miami Dade County School District's $1 billion capital improvement financing program. Annette was also the Financial Services Administrator and Economic Development Specialist for the City of Miami responsible for debt issuance and PPP/joint ventures. Projects in Miami included the first Miami Heat Stadium, Bayside Landing (Rouse Corp.), tax-increment financing for the Overtown-Park West Redevelopment and the Miami Grand Prix.
Annette has a Master's Degree in Urban Planning from Harvard University and Bachelor's Degree from Florida State University. She is a botanical and natural history illustrator and is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists. She is also a member of the advisory board of Dyslexia-ville, an online resource for dyslexic youth, families and educators.
