Charles Askegard is a former Principal Dancer with the New York City Ballet and a longtime resident of New York City. He has lived in New York for thirty years, and knows many of the areas well from the Upper East and West Sides, Hudson Heights and Inwood, to Greenwich Village where he lived for ten years. Currently a resident of Harlem, he is excited by the burgeoning growth and renaissance of the neighborhood.
The skills demanded of him as a performer translate to his work as a real estate agent. He brings dedication, hard work, discipline and drive as attributes in how he will work with you. His passion and knowledge of the city's architecture runs deep, from the venerable pre-war townhouses and apartment buildings, to the new developments that are transforming and revitalizing neighborhoods. Much of his real estate research is done on walks with his dog Jett, while exploring streets, buildings and interacting with people.
He possesses a wide and eclectic range of experience, from negotiating contracts and producing performances, to understanding personalities and working closely with people to bring about a positive outcome. He managed his own career as an artist for twenty-four years, and is comfortable thinking creatively about solving issues that present themselves in business deals.
