Michael L. Arkin
Real Estate Professional
Licensed Real Estate Salesperson
A native New Yorker and professional actor for four decades, Michael has an insider's knowledge of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island City, where he now lives. Over the 8 years he has been a Warburg agent, he has sold 19th century town houses in Long Island City and Clinton Hill, modern and renovated duplexes, apartments and lofts in different parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Performing theatre in countless streets of Brooklyn as a young man, and acting on stage for decades all over town, turned out to be a useful basis for the almost encyclopedic information he has gathered about New York neighborhoods and streets. The talents and wide range of interests from the world of the arts that he brings to the real estate profession are a valuable component of building the relationships of trust with clients that have characterized his way of doing business. Eager to hear and understand their needs and goals and maintain an open and ongoing dialogue, he finds this makes it easier to solve issues when they arise. He is a member of the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation, the Long Island City Business Development Corporation and serves on the Brooklyn and Queens Residential Committees of the Real Estate Board of New York. His perspective on the real estate market is also augmented by having a British wife who buys and renovates historic houses in the city of Hudson, New York.
